to its proportions of 1916, to demolish the New Kings entirely, to construct 76 dwelling units in
the form of double storey flat blocks, and to construct a row of colonnaded shops along Main
Road from Windsor Road to Santori Court at the bottom of Norman Steps. (Fig. 5.13.) The plans
are presently passing through the various stages of the approvals process and the ultimate fate of
the site will probably be decided during 2001.
