The Holy Trinity Church records indicate that by the end of 1964 some thought was being
given to the disposal and final sale of the property and the closure of the school for road-
widening. It seems as if the use of the site for parking was due to representations made by
John Wiley to the Provincial Council. The proceeds of the sale were not used for educational
purposes and so the involvement of the Anglican Church with education in Kalk Bay ended in
1967 - and has not yet been resumed. (Fr. Robin Burnett, personal communication with the
Editor).
